- <Well, I think every soundmodule (esp. those done specifically for
- <computers) understands general midi. 99% or the (90s) keyboards should
- <do that too (unless it's some 20000$ pro one, not a consumer one :)).
- <All the standard midi files on the net should also comply to it.
-
- <Hmm... It shouldn't take much to manufacture a 128 byte mapping file
- <for all the sound IDs on general midi standard though :).
-
- Maybe thats the case, only one porblem though, my synths do not
- support general midi, so there will be a problem for me to know how
- it sounds on them. Regardles of my sounds I still think the best way
- is to let the consumer choose wich kind of string sound etc. he
- wants. And then when you have chosen your lets say eight different
- sounds and additional drums, you just save that configuration (that
- option should be availble on 99 % of the synths including the older
- ones). Anyway I think there will be no problem to have a choice
- between general midi or another synth (rember those old sierra
- games?).
- As for the suggestion that someone said about converting the
- original doom music to midi, I just say: has anyone heard a guitar on
- a synth? Doesn┤t sound to nice I┤m afraid of. Anyway I hope my music
- will be even better and more atmosferic (how do you spell that word?)
- than the original music and it┤s more fun to have new music for
- Bad_Mood. I also think that everyone that wants to do some music are
- welcome to do it, because it can be fun to have differnet composers
- to different tracks (just a suggestion, ofcourse I can do all the
- music if you like my compositions).
